WHATSAPP fans are treated to a massive update from Meta-owned company with larger group chats, the option to send larger files and ease of replying to friends.
WhatsApp users all over the world are treated to receiving a plethora of new features. The popular chat app, which is owned by Meta on Facebook, recently announced a massive new version that includes the ability to create larger groups along with sending much larger files to friends and family. While creating one of that popular group chat, users will now be able to add more than 500 people to it with WhatsApp saying that they have raised the limit due to fan comments.
As far as possible for group chats, it's 256 users which means WhatsApp has now doubled that size.
Another big change will satisfy anyone who loves to send HD photos or 4K videos of themselves to friends with WhatsApp which increases the file size that can be sent across the platform from 100MB to 2GB. That's a massive increase and should end the nightmare of having to compress things before sending them across the web.
To help people manage their precious mobile data, WhatsApp is educating billions of users to send and receive these large files when connected to Wi-Fi with the company adding a counter during upload or download to let users know how long the transfer will take. Takes.
In order to understand more, WhatsApp said: “You can now send files within WhatsApp of up to 2GB in size at a time, protected by end-to-end encryption. This is an increase from the previous limit of 100MB and we think it will be beneficial for cooperation.”
The last upgrade in this big update is the addition of feedback.
This change is similar to what Apple is introducing across its iMessage platform with WhatsApp clients now ready to quickly overlay emojis in each chat bubble. This means you can add a quick thumbs up or a love heart to a message instead of typing a reply.
"We are excited to share the emoji reactions that are now available on the latest version of the app," the company added.
“Reflexes are fun, quick, and reduce group overload as well. We will continue to improve it by adding a wider range of expressions later.”
We trust people to participate in these updates and expect to share more throughout the year.”
It's unclear when everyone will get this WhatsApp upgrade but it's worth checking your device now to see if it's arrived overnight. Enjoy!
